I can't believe I actually got a ribbon on this! The tatted hearts were sewn down with invisible thread, a thin nylon thread that's horrible to work with. Not only is it hard to see but it has a tendency to curl and twist. After doing this one I guess I'll have to make another for myself.

This was an enlarged paper-pieced pattern. I used 3 different green fabrics and then did an embroidered chain stitch between the sections with metallic floss. The ornaments are tatted with beads. Again they were attached with invisible thread. Instead of quilting the border I sewed gold beads into the center of each star burst. It isn't obvious in the picture but It added a different texture to the piece.
